Questions, answered.

01Is this road legal?+

No. ByeReg is sold for off-road and show use only — car meets, shows and private events.

02Will it fit my car?+

Any car with a standard number plate light plug. The connector goes in between the light and the wiring, so it fits almost everything.

03Is it visible from outside?+

No. The connector sits behind the number plate light surround, hidden from view. The car looks factory.

04Does it need charging?+

No. The connector runs off the car's existing wiring. Only the remote uses a CR2032 that lasts about a year.

05How hard is the install?+

Literally plug-and-play. Pop the light surround out, plug the connector in between the light and the car wiring, then stick the remote in the cabin. No tools on most cars.

06Do I need to cut any wiring?+

No cutting at all. It plugs straight in between the light plug and the car wiring — like an extension lead. Fully reversible.

07What about brightness when they're on?+

Identical to factory. The connector only switches power — it never dims or alters the bulbs, so with the lights on the plate reads exactly as it did before.

08Will it fit my plate size?+

Yes. The connector is small enough to tuck behind the number plate light surround on most cars.

09What happens when I start the car?+

The lights always return to their normal on setting when the ignition turns on — even if you left them off with the remote.

10What warranty do I get?+

Two-year warranty on the connectors and remote, plus 30-day no-questions returns. Faulty units get replaced, we pay the postage.
